Director

Katherine Smallshaw

From a young age, my personal experiences with Australia’s family law system provided me with a profound understanding of the impact that relationship breakdowns can have on all involved, particularly children. These early insights motivated me to pursue a career in family law, aiming to enhance the experiences of those navigating this challenging process.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University and furthered my education with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Masters of Applied Law in Family Law and Wills and Estates from the College of Law. My academic and professional journey has been underpinned by a commitment to family law, shaped by a deep-seated desire to mitigate the adverse effects of relationship breakdowns while helping clients build positive futures.

Now, as a Director at Pullos Lawyers, I continue to dedicate my expertise to family law. My approach combines comprehensive legal knowledge with a deep empathy for my clients’ individual needs. This dual focus ensures that I not only understand the legal intricacies of each case but also connect personally with each client to guide them toward the best possible outcomes.

I have particular expertise in handling high-net-worth cases involving complex asset pools and corporate structures. Whether advocating vigorously in court or negotiating amicably outside of it, my goal is to protect my clients’ interests while reducing stress and emotional strain.

My international teaching experiences in Vietnam and Cambodia have reinforced my values of humility and perspective—qualities I bring to every case I handle. With these principles, I approach each matter with sensitivity, helping clients to achieve the positive outcomes that are important to them.

I am admitted to the Supreme Court of Australia, the High Court of Australia, and am a Collaboratively Trained Lawyer. My holistic and empathetic approach to family law ensures that each client receives personalised and effective representation.

For support and guidance through any family law matter, you can reach me at Pullos Lawyers. I look forward to collaborating with you to achieve lasting positive outcomes for you and your family.
